Role Description:
Employee Relations Consultants leverage their experience with employment law principles to conduct workplace investigations. ER Consultants provide advice, consultation and guidance to foster sustainable solutions to team member and organizational challenges. ER consultants steward Nike’s values by making fair and consistent recommendations and resolving matters in a proactive consultative manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Intake, Advise, Counsel or investigate complex workplace matters in accordance to Nike’s Polices and Standard ER Operating Procedures.
* Present investigation findings and provide recommendations to influence leaders/partners to reach common ground that align with Nike Inc. policies and procedures.
* Broker organizational health and remedial action services.
* Advise and consult on policies, Performance Action Plans and Disciplinary Action.
* Review and/or audit Business and HR case work to ensure compliance with Nike Policy and/or Practices.
* Through historical case data and trend analysis, engage in proactive ER practices to reduce the total number of complaints received.
* Identifies trends from investigations and recommend training opportunities that would improve organizational health.
* Facilitate Training on ER related topics (including Nike Inc. Policies).
* Adheres to ER Service Level Agreements.
* Assumes ownership for investigative case assignments, monitor the status and partners with appropriate Stakeholders to ensure appropriate resolution.
* Maintains required documentation within the ER case management system for advice and counsel and investigations.
* Serve as Subject Matter Expert on internal ER procedures and serve as first point of contact to assist ER Specialist on escalated items.
* Maintains confidentiality.
* Other duties as assigned.
