Job Overview:
The nature of the work is focused on presenting and merchandising product to consumers.
Responsible for collecting Converse consumer insights, briefing into the global categories, influencing product creation, selecting the line for top SKU
effectiveness and profitability and determining how the line flows to and through consumers.
Key Accountabilities:
Provide leadership and strategic vision for all aspects for multiple categories for a particular area of the retail business. Set Category team financial standards and leverage team resources to maximize revenue and profitability.
Lead the monthly forecasts of sales and inventory and the development of strategies to meet financial goals. Develop and manage process for open to buy forecasts.
Partner and influence strategic planning and budgeting process with GM and ensure that process supports category strategies and business strategy.
Drive a balanced, effective product assortment that meets or exceeds revenue targets and growth (manage SKUs, price, flow, cadence, color, etc)
Communicate buying strategies, vision and business results to senior leadership, category leadership, business unit leadership and field teams
Drive merchandising plans and strategies that support key seasonal stories and initiatives and related promotional efforts.
Select, lead, evaluate, coach, train, and develop the Buying team.
