About the job
Working with payroll outsourcing partners, the Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible in delivering compliant, timely and accurate Payroll to Nike employees, ensuring that related processes are administered in accordance to Nike’s internal policy and local statutory regulations. This role is based in Shanghai and will be a member of the Greater China payroll, reporting to the Payroll Manager, Greater China
Responsibilities:
• Manage all day-to-day payroll operations for selected legal entities in Greater China.
• Compiles data from a wide variety of sources (e.g. time sheets/payroll, salary adjustments, tax deposits, etc.) for payroll processing.
• Review payroll results or outputs using established practices and procedures.
• Timely and accurate submission/payment of statutory obligations, such as tax and social security.
• Manage day-to-day liaison with Payroll outsourcing partners, including monthly review of services and performance metrics.
• Provide reconciliation of payroll related expenses based on monthly accounting schedule.
• Maintain supporting payroll documentations and authorizations for internal and external audits.
• Verify exceptions on attendance, hours worked, pay adjustments and post information onto time system for retail employees for each pay period.
• Provide Tier 2 support for employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues and time track matters.
• Manage a positive working relationship with internal HR community and payroll outsourcing partners.
• Responsible for meeting the pre-determined payroll metrics and compliance requirements.
• Provide support on payroll related projects and initiatives, as required.
