WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Canada Customs Specialist (Apparel & Equipment) who will help drive the ongoing development of our best-in-class customs operations activities, processes, & internal controls. Our best candidate will facilitate compliant & efficient cross-border movement of goods acting as a subject matter expert, leveraging innovation to provide value to Nike & every athlete* (*if you have a body, you're an athlete). They will be enthusiastic, outspoken curious & reliable, self-starter & problem solver with the ability to articulate goals and set priorities.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON

As a part of your work routine, you will collaborate with Global Customs & Apparel Product Development teams to review new designs & ensure Nike Customs Systems* comply with CA requirements. For most of your time, you will work with the broker & internal stakeholders on troubleshooting customs clearance-related issues & assign HTS when requested. In addition, you will validate, reconcile, & prepare customs/duties payments to CBSA and brokerage charges & serve as lead apparel & equipment classification & duty expert for Nike Canada. You will have an excellent opportunity to showcase yourself by collaborating with North America Trade & Customs team on various projects & presentations.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH

Reporting to Canada Customs Operations Manager located in Brimley, you will work closely with North America Trade & Customs Group. In addition, you will develop strong ties with the Nike designated customs broker, Global Customs & Apparel team, Accounting, Marketing, Logistics departments, & the factories' contacts.

WHAT YOU BRING

· Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field

· 2 years' experience within customs & trade, supply chain, finance, internal audit, or a similar function in medium to large companies

· Current CCS / CTCS / other Customs certifications & designations is preferred

· Experience working directly with Canada Customs & other government agencies

· Experience in the customs & international trade industry, including but not limited to: Canada import/export regulations, policy/procedure development, & preferential trade programs
