Materials are key to Innovation and Product Excellence. We have built a new, unified Materials Sourcing & Manufacturing organization which will transform our material capabilities, teams, and processes and accelerate our vision to serve every athlete• .
As Director, Materials Manufacturing, you will lead a team to drive materials excellence in partnership with key internal functional stakeholders, influencing key decisions and opportunities. You will also lead the offense by building strong partnership with partners externally and supporting and driving those partners to execute successfully consistent with Nike expectations.
Detail-oriented and results-driven, you thrive in a cross-functional environment, wearing different hats pending the topic or issue at hand. You have a strong knowledge of manufacturing/supply chain and are comfortable engaging with different partner groups, tailoring your messages accordingly and leveraging strong partnerships. This role is perfect for a team-player with drive, curiosity, vision, and exceptional communication skills. You represent Nike Materials Manufacturing and know how to rise above the day-to-day to support and execute against key strategies.
SECTION 2: WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON
• Through your team, you will drive engage with vendors that delivers strong performance for Materials Manufacturing quality, delivery, costing and sustainability priorities. You will manage key initiatives execution, alert to both opportunities and risks for relevant objectives, managing and escalating as needed. You will manage manufacturing and delivery issues across your team, ensuring impacts are mitigated and issues are resolved.
• Your typical day/week will include leading and supporting your team to deliver results by ensuring the team’s focus is on clearly defined weekly and seasonal priorities. You’ll organize the team against an annual calendar of engagement with vendors, working collaboratively with the full Apparel & Accessories Materials Manufacturing team as well as relevant internal stakeholders in the Nike Materials ecosystem. You will balance workloads across your team, ensuring they can successfully deliver against immediate needs as well as long term priorities.
SECTION 3: WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH
This role manages a Materials Manufacturing team, and reports to the Sr. Director Apparel & Accessories Materials Sourcing & Manufacturing. This role will interact closely with key functional partners in Material Sourcing and Manufacturing, especially Sourcing, Planning and Costing. Other internal stakeholders include Materials Partner Management, Development, T1 Partner Management, and Responsible Sourcing & Manufacturing.
