Overview of the Job:

The ENERGY & KIDS MERCHANDISING DIRECTOR is responsible for driving assortment strategy and assortment plans focused on:


the Converse trailblazer consumer and pinnacle distribution to ensure a holistic, premium, segmented, and elevated marketplace to position Converse at the heart of youth culture.

The KIDS consumer by driving integrated, profitable, and relevant product assortments, expressing the category vision in the marketplace.

Reporting Line:

Head of Merchandising - Converse Asia

Job Responsibility:

• The ENERGY & KIDS MERCHANDISING DIRECTOR is responsible for driving the Brand vision within Asia and working with the territory partners across the integrated marketplace
• Drive: Disruptive stories, meaningful moments, and deliberate tiering
• Strategically Seed: the Right product, in the Right places, with the Right partners
• Pre-heat the marketplace
• Acts as the pivot across geography functions as well as the bridge from geography to territory
• Develop and communicate the Incubate and Brand assortment strategy, leading with Key Pinnacle partners and digital thru the lens of marketplace capacity and hindsight
• Execute Global allocation / liquidation plans by Territory, Tier, and Accounts in partnership with Geo sales, DPIM and Brand
• Deliver key Brand and Icon stories through integrating defining items and drives flow and launch moments according to global dates
• Deliver premium merchandising / sell-in tools to territory teams
• Track and ensure orders and product delivery against the Incubate seasonal calendar and priorities
• Provides leadership to 1 Merchandising Assistant manager

Functional Skill Required (Hard skills):
• Requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum 8-9 years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Primarily Excel & Powerpoint)
• Proficiency in English (Written and Oral)

Experience Required (Soft skills):
• The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the streetwear industry and understand the trends of today and tomorrow.
