As the Assistant General Counsel in Nike Greater China, you’ll support the company's goals and ambitions by providing well-informed, timely, effective and practical legal advice & counseling in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. You will work in close integration with Nike global legal team as well as GC legal team members. In addition, you’ll manage outside legal counsel providing specialized services to the company to ensure appropriate and cost-effective representation.
You will report to Senior Legal Director (who reports to VP & General Counsel of Nike Greater China), and work in a broader Legal team in Greater China.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• You’ll be the leading and expert lawyer to advise all new retail digital projects to enable successful O2O transformations and/or digital innovations across omni channels (in-season, off-season, distributors’ stores) through closely partnering with various business teams and other inhouse lawyers/privacy experts;
• You’ll also be the window lawyer to support day to day store operations (excluding leasing) and retail initatives for all in-season Nike Direct Stores (HOI, RISE, LIVE, etc.) through widely providing legal services such as drafting, reviewing or negotiating contracts as well as legal counseling on identification & analysis of legal risks, and creation & implementation of business-friendly solutions;
• You’ll drive or manage the build-up and operation of instore digital compliance framework, including process, policies or playbooks to guide the dynamic retail practice integrating with digital tools/services, oversee and deliver trainings to business teams following the latest laws & regulations as well as administrative enforcements;
• Other work or legal matters assigned to you per business needs from time to time.
