JOB MISSION:
As Product Manager, Performance Running, you are a key member of the Running Global Business Unit executing the Performance Running line plan with a strong focus on the global female runner. You are both a product and consumer expert for the New Balance brand, working on a team that is creating industry leading performance running product with the goal of making runners/athletes better every day.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
! Manage creation of product line strategically aligned with the needs of the global consumer, now, and in the future.
! Lead a product category, creating a long-term vision for performance running.
! Creatively brief and inspire the design and marketing teams.
! Conduct market research with a strong POV and passion for trend, color and fashion and how that enhances the experience of the female runner.
! Achieve sales revenue, unit margins, and brand share objectives for your category.
! Incorporate information from Manufacturing, Sales, Supply Chain, Design, Development, and Global Marketing to effectively market specific products and product lines.
! Serve as global business unit consumer & data lead by collaborating with Direct-to-Consumer Merchandising, Consumer Insights and Global General Merchandising Manager to uncover and analyze consumer, industry and sell-thru data and future trends to drive product creation.
! Act as a category spokesperson with internal and external audiences to maximize the successful execution of product initiatives in the marketplace.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
! Bachelors degree in Marketing or related area.
! 3 years' experience in a product-related, merchandising or sales role.
! Organized, strategic thinker with deep understanding of and experience assessing global consumer needs.
! Passion for improving the experience and performance of runners.
! Understanding of the Global Independent Female (13-34 years old) & what drives them across sport, style & culture is a plus
! Strong analytical skills and action-oriented approach to utilizing data to drive decision making and results.
! Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
! Strong communication skills and eagerness to collaborate
