JOB MISSION:

Under the general direction of the Senior Cost Accounting Manager, position is responsible for all activities pertaining to the accurate, timely, development and maintenance of Domestic or Imported standards. Also includes detailed standards analysis, impact upon margin as well as support for forecasting & budgeting

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
! Complete product cost estimates during all stages of development.  Ability to Lead and gain cooperation from various Operations/Development Teams to ensure that cost and target considerations; inclusive of USA and USMCA calculations where appropriate, are prevalent throughout the decision making /development process.
! Analyze monthly results and complete all required reporting activities inclusive of detailed variance explanations and FS v. Domestic comparisons by factory.  Publish analysis of actual against targeted gross margin by product line with profit variance to targets. Communicate cost variances to Operations Leaders. Continually review reporting packages for applicability and adjust as necessary.
! Ensure that cost-savings projects are embedded in improved product margins and/or separately including in cost targets.
! Partner with Costing to get a full understanding of fully sourced and sourced uppers cost elements as well as cost increases/decreases.
! Coordinate collection & compilation of factory specific standards to meet forecast and budget requirements.  Evaluate and challenge for integrity of content through specific style analysis and YOY comparison.
! Support Domestic Operational/Manufacturing improvement projects/initiatives and participate on cross-functional teams as required
! Assist Global Value Chain Finance Team in the development the annual budget package. Based on information required, work with various Operations groups & Finance to evaluate guidelines, establish budget goals and timelines to compile the annual budget package.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
! Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting/Finance, with 7+ years’ experience in financial analysis, product costing (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
! Strategic planning or budgeting with a solid understanding of how Cost Accounting Financials tie into one another and effect overall corporate financials. 
! Candidate must possess a demonstrated analytical ability with sound problem-solving skills.
! Strong PC skills including advanced proficiency with Excel are required. 
! The ability to interact with all levels of Operations Management through strong written and verbal communication skills is also necessary. 
! Additionally, candidate must possess a demonstrated continuous improvement approach and work ethic.
! Microsoft D365 Experience a plus.
