MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
! Work Cross-brand to execute new and original statement level products that drive a category aesthetic and align with the overall brand creative direction
! Apply strong design, color, material, innovative thinking, and technical experience to athletic footwear
! Creating products, technologies and developing concepts that continue to advance New Balance product performance.
! Focus on designing innovative products for athletes and customers across basketball, baseball, tennis, and lacrosse.
! Work on tip of spear new tech platforms down to main distribution big volume product.
! Communicate design intent through various mediums: sketches, renderings, 3D modeling and hands-on prototypes.
! Work closely with the TRAID (design, development, and product management) by researching project needs, generate multiple concept solutions and communicate your ideas through sketches, renderings, boards and presentations.
! Focus on risk taking, unexpected solutions that will excite the consumer. Work independently and have a strong understanding of the product creation process and timelines. 
! Actively participate in creative vision during off-sites and other design events. Asia development trips to represent category and complete multiple projects.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
! Minimum 3 years footwear design experience
! BA or Master’s degree in Industrial design and/or Fashion design or related area. Innovation Engineering Degree is a plus
! Must have 3D ability in Modo/Maya, Gravity sketch or similar platform
! Must have proficiency in design programs such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Keynote.
! Solid understanding of footwear design, construction, materials, sourcing and commercialization
! 2D/3D drawing by hand or computer and have ability to visualize concepts
! Strong skills in core design competencies: color, materials, sketching, concept ideation, presenting, problem-solving
! Some domestic and international travel
