JOB MISSION: Overall planning of various operations and introducing work simplification to reduce costs and increase productivity.  Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly analysis of Distribution Center service, productivity and flow of work.  Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of Distribution and Operations ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame.  MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Works with NB Account Services team to balance cost and service requirements to satisfy internal/external customer needs.  • Analyzes records of past and present operations trends, administrative commitments, and obligations to ensure process support requirements. • Review methods and process to uncover problems and inefficiencies. • Set standards for processes.  Measure and report on work function standards weekly. • Interface with various customer facing teams including customer service, sales, customer compliance to ensure a full understanding of current and requested customer requirements.  Works to meet those requirements and clearly communicate expectations of timing and cost.  • Ensuring documentation of department records are kept current. • Communication regarding impact of business adjustment to applicable departments. • Adapts quickly to rapid internal and/or external changes or disruptions that effect service, cost, facilities, New Balance associates, etc. • Identifies issues and opportunities affecting Distribution Operations performance, regardless of source.  Will organize efforts to constructively and effectively address these issues and opportunities. • Manages process improvement projects. • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine the time frame and procedures needed for accomplishing the project, including the requested resources and limitations to completing the project as planned. • Confers with team to outline work plan, confirm duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority for a project and to resolve problems. • Communicates with internal customers on an ongoing basis to ensure the best service possible. (I.e., answers customer questions regarding product and/or service, coordinates needs with other department needs to ensure project completion, etc.) • Reviews status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required. • Prepares project reports for management. REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS: • Bachelor’s degree and ten years of experience inspiring teams and driving business results.
