JOB MISSION: In this position you will assist with performing routine maintenance on machines and equipment while adhering to department standards and machine maintenance schedules. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Assist in performing routine maintenance on machines adhering to departmental standards and machine maintenance schedules. • Utilize a board range of hand power tools to perform various duties. • Detect and report improper operation of equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions • Follow safety rules and regulations and maintain quality standards. • Work closely with the Mechanic team to become cross-trained on manufacturing machinery and equipment. • Support projects and TPM/Lean initiatives. KEY CUSTOMERS • Manufacturing Value Streams • Mechanic Coordinators MEASURES OF SUCCESS • Cross trained on one or more manufacturing machinery • Shown ability to support projects and knowledge REPORTING STRUCTURE • Reports directly to the Mechanic Supervisor •  Dotted line to the Mechanic Coordinator REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS • High School diploma • Machine operator experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude. • Moderate to heavy lifting is required. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. • Strong communication skills.
