JOB MISSION: As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer, you will create, build and support the databases, data flows, and complex data analyses that will help to drive New Balance to be a Top 3 Global Athletic Company.  In this role, you will conduct data analysis, perform detailed database queries and create report solutions that turn data into insights needed by business and/or executive operations. If you are analytical, a good communicator, and an excellent problem solver, we’d like to meet you. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Develop and execute database queries and ingestion data flows for use in downstream BI reporting. • Collaborate with technical teams responsible for sources of data to ingest new data sets and maintain existing data flows. • Facilitate data visualization “office hours” to assist BI Analysts within the business units with difficult calculations and analysis configuration activities. • Maintain and troubleshoot existing applications and databases.  Address production support break-fix in timely manner, keeping IT management and business informed of status and resolutions. • Create and execute independently on tasks assigned.  Deliver on time, on budget and with high quality.  Identifies obstacles and seeks assistance when needed.  Provide status updates to management and project stakeholders. • Work closely with business and/or IT management to define business requirements for new Business Intelligence solutions (reports, dashboards, data sets, etc.). Develop, build and maintain business-critical reports based on said requirements. Proactively raise risks and issues.  Translate technical information for all users, technical and non-technical. • Ensure that proper standards, policies and procedures are followed. • Adhere to software development lifecycle and data warehousing design principles. • Develop, adhere to, and advocate for Data Warehouse development standards, including BI best practices. • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and open communication. REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS • Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or a related field • Minimum of 3+ years of experience with a data visualization tool in a corporate environment (TIBCO Spotfire is preferred, but Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, etc. are acceptable) • Knowledge and experience with database design principles, including SQL, and ability to troubleshoot data issues within a database. • Strong understanding and experience in development activities for all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Ability to translate user requirements into data extracts, dashboards and reports • Extreme attention to detail and strong motivation to learn new skills • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude • Ability to multitask in a dynamic work environment, adapt to changing business priorities and needs, and take responsibilities for commitments • Ability to grasp and implement new or cutting-edge concepts and technologies quickly. • Experience with MS SQL Server, MS Azure, Python, and/or statistics are a plus • Understanding of agile software development processes is preferable Our Benefits:Our products are only as good as the people we hire, so we make sure to hire the best and treat them accordingly.
