Join New Balance and declare your independence. JOB MISSION: The North America Integrated Marketing Manager - Running will be the overall lead for Running in North America. This role is the owner and hub for all Running marketing in North America, setting the overall strategy/vision and leading cross-functional teams through execution. This role serves as the main integrator and connector of all things Running in North America, ensuring we drive one cohesive strategy and creative expression, and maximize all regional Running investments. This is an essential role for New Balance to achieve its objective of being the world’s best Running brand. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
⏵ Be the owner and integrator across all things Running in North America
⏵ Drive connection, integration, and one cohesive brand approach across all Running marketing activity and functions in the region (including Events, Content Creation / Digital, DTC & Wholesale channels, PR, Sports Marketing / Sponsored Athletes, and Paid Media)
⏵ Oversee and own accountability for all Running marketing budget in the region, ensuring all investments made across internal teams are in service of NA Running strategy and objectives
⏵ Make hard decisions about where we will invest for growth vs. scale back / consolidate existing programs
⏵ Develop and drive the NA strategy, marketing calendar, and creative expression targeting the NA Running consumer, inclusive of key product launches, events, athletes, and cultural moments
⏵ Develop brand and product storytelling to drive relevancy with the target NA Running consumer
⏵ Drive a consistent and unified creative expression for the NA Running consumer
⏵ Lead all US paid media planning and execution targeting the NA Running consumer (helping to direct the US media agency)
⏵ Project manage & drive 360 integrated activation plans for key Running product launches, working with functional leads (PR, Social, Content, Events, Channel Marketing) through execution
⏵ Partner closely with North America DTC (ecomm & retail) & WHS (Run Specialty, Sporting Goods, Amazon, etc.) teams to convert brand demand into Running product sales
⏵ Subject matter expert of US Running target consumer, new and emerging Running trends, and stays immersed in relevant areas for our target consumer
⏵ Play a leadership role in overall US brand planning to bring in new consumers, increase brand relevancy, and grow market share among our target consumers (beyond the core running consumer). REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
⏵ Bachelor’s degree required, with 8+ years of integrated marketing experience (ideally within the Running footwear/apparel space), developing full funnel plans across media (paid, earned, owned), content, athletes/influencers, events, etc.
⏵ Proven experience navigating a complex matrix organization, with a track record of building strong relationships and influencing key internal stakeholders. Willingness to embrace and resolve conflict.
⏵ Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization and with external partners and agencies.
⏵ Strong understanding of the creative process, including evaluating creative and delivering a consistent creative expression (visual and tone of voice). Proven experience translating strategic goals into creative solutions and experience in production planning and execution.
⏵ Proven track record of successfully launching new Running products and campaigns, including new/innovative ways to drive word of mouth while achieving sales targets.
⏵ Creative and calculated risk-taker while remaining humble, open-minded, and willing/eager to learn and be coached.
⏵ Strong understanding of Running footwear and apparel retail space, including Running Specialty, Sporting Goods, and ecommerce channels.
⏵ Excellent budget ownership & management, project management, and campaign analysis/reporting skills.
⏵ Some travel required (15-20%).
