JOB MISSION:
As a Product Developer on the Domestic Development team, you will coordinate with a cross-functional project team on development tasks and monitor associated deadlines for various Made In the USA footwear initiatives. You will be responsible for maintaining open lines of communication with product engineering, engineering services, purchasing, planning, marketing, design, and development center. In this position, you will gain an understanding of shoe construction, terminology, technical drawings, and manufacturing processes. You will work directly with domestic and international suppliers to select, order, and track materials needed for prototyping and sales samples. You will learn to evaluate prototypes and extreme samples. You will develop your understanding of margins, FOB (free on board), and costing factors.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Understanding of shoe construction and raw materials.
!
Spec writing, creating quality standards, reviewing tech drawings.
!
Attention to detail.
!
Project management experience.
!
Highly organized.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
!
Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of project management experience. Footwear experience is a plus.
!
Basic comprehension of patterns and molds; ability to identify materials and components.
!
Proven ability to meet deadlines.
!
Strong computer skills, including Adobe Illustrator.
