Job Summary

We are actively seeking a skilled and motivated architect to join our eCommerce development team. The eCommerce development team is responsible for the online shopping experience of New Balance branded sites around the globe with further expansion on the horizon.At New Balance, we seek active learners who love to use modern technology to solve challenging problems. You will be working with the latest technologies andframeworks andworkingtogether with the rest of the team to push New Balance as an innovator for years to come.

Major Accountabilities

!
Create detailed and high-quality technical architecture and design documentation for development teams

!
Define the implementation and coding approach for customizations, interfaces, system architecture, data flow and data architecture/data model.

!
Create development best practices and standards for the development teams, as well as documentation, training, and enforcement of those standards

!
Partnering with Development, Quality Engineering, SRE and Release Train Engineer (RTE) tofoster and promoteprocess improvements and enhanced technical capabilities. i.e., unit testing,DD, BDD, Automation, Tools, CI/CD

!
Leadingcode review sessions to ensure code and functional quality, and provide guidance to developers

!
Working with Tech Leads on recommendations for the technology investment needed to support application designs

!
Lead technical discovery sessions with business stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of the technical requirements and integrations for new commerce solutions.

!
Communicating design overviews to executive and technical management

Requirements for Success

!
Strong written and verbal communication skills

!
Strong soft skills, including attention to detail, problem-solving

!
Deep expertise of Salesforce Commerce Cloud and eCommerce architecturesuch asPIM (Product Information Management),OMS (Order Management System),ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning).

!
Knowledge ofWAF and CDNintegrations, specifically Akamaior Cloudflare

!
Experience with Node.js,SFCCs Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA), as well as knowledge ofmicroservices

!
Expertise of common eCommerce platform integrations, including Tag Management, Analytics, Product Reviews, Payment Providers

!
Proficient in writing unit/integration tests and developing applications using a Test-Driven Development approach

!
Knowledge of writing ADA Compliant code

!
Proficient in integrating with REST and SOAP web services using the SFCC Service Framework

!
Experience working with APIs to build headless eCommerce applications
