JOB MISSION

The Technology Manager of The Track will be responsible for the effective and efficient use of technology at the facility. The person will be responsible for strategy, direction, innovation, operation and overall execution of existing and new digital and technology programs for The Track. They will manage 3rd party providers to provide support and diagnostics with the utmost professional attitude to operations staff, external vendors, athletes, coaches and fans. The person will support the Operations team, manage technology-related budgets and report into the Operations Director. Due to the nature of events at The Track, the person shall have a flexible schedule and ensure a level of availability 7 days a week, without exceeding normal working hours on a constant basis. Work-life balance is critical to The Track.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Technology Manager shall have duties and responsibilities across Strategy, Operations, Planning and Management.

Technology Systems: The Technology Manager shall be responsible for all Technology-specific aspects pertaining to the following systems operational at The Track:
! Facility Network
! Internet Service Provider
! Cybersecurity
! Parking
! Electric Vehicle Charging
! Security
! Lighting Control
! BMS
! Track banking control
! Timing System
! AV inclusive of large LED screen, PA and Digital Signage
! Point of Sale
! Emergency DAS platform

Strategy:
! Develop and maintain the Technology Vision for The Track
! Set objectives and key performance indicators of all IT systems
! Work closely with major sponsor, New Balance, to create novel Fan Experiences and support revenue generating opportunities
! Liaise with event organizers to negotiate technology requirements they may have
! Evaluate and advise on Technology investments for The Track

Planning:
! End of Life equipment review
! Budget forecasting inclusive of software licenses, hardware licenses, equipment EOL replacements
! Selection of service providers

Operations:
! Approval of Technology related works
! Basic troubleshooting of technology-related outages managing relevant 3 rd party support providers
! Ability to perform network switch and associated equipment physical swap-outs on site
! Proactive review of technology usage reports to ensure continuous improvement
! Review potential cybersecurity vulnerabilities and manage 3rd parties for the resolution thereof
! Owns any network access and firewall requests including assignment of ports
! Maintains patching schedules and all technology-related as-built records for the facility
! Basic physical network cabling assistance and troubleshooting

Management:
! Manage Desktop Support & VOIP Services 3 rd party support provider
! Manage Network Managed Services and all other service providers to signed SLAs
! Build a team as a combination of in-house and 3 rd party service providers to deliver on a digital vision for The Track while maintaining high levels of service excellence
! Report to the Operation Director/Manager of The Track
! Client-facing (athletes, coaches, sponsors, fans, vendors, press) aspects will exist for this role F. Ability to operate under pressure situations (when an event is under way and an issue occurs)

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
! Possess a four-year Engineering degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience in IT or engineering related major.
! 5+ years Technology industry professional experience.
! Hands-on experience with building technologies as described within this role would be beneficial.
! Experience with the development of roadmaps, budgets and implementation plans. Certification in IT network design and or system administration.
! Demonstrate leadership skills to manage the technology realm.
! Ability to operate in stressful environments such as live events.
! Experience in the event space will be beneficial
