Job Description

United Wheat Accessories is looking for a motivated individual to join their team as the Accessory Development Coordinator and is responsible for developing materials and trims, building and maintaining accurate BOM’s, maintaining costs, communicating adjustments and corrections to overseas offices/suppliers, overseeing sampling (complete to commercialized product) and providing insight and feedback to the Design team. The successful applicant will use their strong organizational and communications skills to manage samples, costing and development timelines. 2-3 years of experience in development or a related field is a must, and a strong creative background is a plus.

Highlights of the job include:

- Extensive communications with Asian development and production facilities.
- Work closely with design, sales, and production teams on the development of their styles from concept to final sample.
- Maintain line plans and costing information for both inline and SMU products.
- Day to day management of seasonal development calendar.
- Update development status reports to insure timely delivery of all products.


The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

- A consistent high level of personal integrity.
- 2-3 years experience in development or similar field.
- Strong ability to manage large volume of information to and from multiple sources.
- Ability to interact at a high level with both creative and analytical types.
- Creative problem solver with a positive attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Computer skills required: Excel, Word, Outlook, & Adobe Illustrator.

o Oversee product development; from proto stage to final production
o Manage style pre-costing and analyze all subsequent prototype costing to ensure yield, material costs, and FOB's are accurate and meet margin objectives
o Manage proto, sample, counter-sample and production approvals to ensure the company’s quality standards are met and deliveries are received on time
o Manage development process according to established company calendar
o Control and adhere to company’s high quality standards by monitoring product details and specs throughout the product manufacturing process
