About the job

The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and implement a social strategy for each of the company's brands. The position will utilize a combination of social network management, community engagement, influencer activation and partnership opportunities to drive the social strategy. Create, curate and manage all published content (images, video, blogs, ads, copy) adapting content to each social network and target audience. Works with various company departments to promote overall brand reputation through social media channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy
• Map out a comprehensive plan to elevate all social media channels to drive engagement and followers.
• Establish goals broken down by social media channel with specific benchmarks and metrics.
• Complete an in depth competitor analysis.
• Research and recommend necessary social monitoring and planning tools.
• Create budget for social media campaigns and shoots.
• Manage change and adopt social media into the corporate culture.
• Produce a social content calendar and syndication schedule.

Social Channels
• Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and potential additional channels (Snapchat, etc.).
• Maintain and continue to grow the voice for the brand on social media platforms that increase exposure to and engagement with the brand amongst new audiences.
• Tasked with figuring out which platforms the company's target audiences prefer and how to communicate through each. Then create content calendars and adapt content to each social network.
• Manage online brand reputation and defensively monitor for consumer care opportunities posted online. Collaborate with marketing and customer service team to resolve.
• Listen and engage in relevant social discussion about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers and leads and from brand new audiences that don’t yet know us.
• Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence.
• Update and maintain all hashtags.
• Work with graphic designer and creative director on design concepts.
• Test new strategies, new content, and new campaigns. This means both running tests (such as post frequency tests) and analyzing the results to constantly iterate and improve their marketing efforts
• Plan and schedule digital ads across social platforms including prospecting and re-engagement campaigns.
• Track contractual postings
• Research key major accounts to monitor their social strategies and see how we can partner to increase followers.
• Plan and coordinate on-brand contests to grow social media numbers.
• Utilize imagery and audio clips from original content to create compelling short video clips to drive engagement.
• Constantly participate in the conversations, answer questions, and promote positive social habits that influence other users.
• Gauge ROI for events, activations, gifting, etc.
• Upload video content to YouTube/Vimeo
• Be on the leading edge of industry trends, so they can create a marketing strategy that generates inbound leads, gains followers, and creates a positive image for the company.

Photoshoots
• Concept mini photoshoots for engaging social content.
• Do photoshoots with top influencers for posting visuals on our social channels, emails and websites. Negotiate contracts to have influencers post regularly as well.
• Attend lifestyle shoots to get behind the scenes content and share clips to induce excitement on upcoming products.

Monitor/Metrics
• Measure and analyze to establish ROI. Determine top Social KPI’s for growth, reach and engagement.
• Sending weekly reporting to management team.
• Monitor effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results
• Research competitors activities and results, as well as emerging social media trends, ad stay on top of trends in the industry, as well as what the audience wants and needs from the brand.
• Dig into the data, analyze that data, and draw actionable insights. That includes macro data (like overall reach, leads generated, leads nurtured, customer cases supported) all the way down to micro data (like individual experiments around content positioning)

Community/Influencers
• Set clear objectives and guidelines for user generated content to grow engagement, build trust, improve SEO value and increase followers.
• Gather and analyze data, finding insights and then using them it to plan content
• Work with Creative Director on developing interesting content that’s socially relevant.
• Partner with PR to identify and build relationships with prominent influencers and leaders in our space. Ensure that these relationships benefit both the company and individual. Also, act as an extension of PR by connecting press to the team to increase coverage for the company.
• Identify relevant influencers that will be effective partners on the platform, develop relationships, and sign new talent
• Monitor gifted influencers for hits.

Misc. Tasks
• Work across departments with online marketing, customer service and public relations, to create content and deliver essential and coordinated messages to the audience.
• Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and contests
• Manage and teach interns to assist with social media maintenance.
• In addition to the performance of the job responsibilities mentioned above, this position will required to perform supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based on the particular requirements of the operation.
