Vista Outdoor is seeking a Category Manager – Street/Cruiser/Custom to add to our team to support Bell at the Scotts Valley, CA location. The Category Manager will be responsible for executing the vision, strategies, and seasonal concepts for Bell’s Street/Cruiser/Custom business. This position will be responsible for identifying long-term trends and opportunities based upon consumer insights, product category knowledge, and market analysis. Working with the VP of Bell Power Sports & Specialty Cycling, constructing and executing long-term plans to achieve brand and business objectives.

The Category Manager will work cross-functionally with design, development, planning, brand marketing and sales teams to bring to market product lines that achieve sales, margin, and brand objectives. This position requires advanced product and process knowledge, and a proven ability to execute product strategies according to mandated schedules.

The ideal candidate will be extremely results driven, customer focused, brand savvy and skilled at building internal relationships and external partnerships. This is a mission critical position with broad strategy ownership and responsibilities. Responsibilities:
- Create and execute long-term product line strategies based upon consumer insights, product category knowledge, and market analysis.
- Research and conceive innovative product ideas, and create seasonal product briefs that inspire the product creation and go-to-market processes.
- Use sales forecasting or strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitable of products, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
- Responsible for leading the Innovation Road process and ensuring the accuracy of product line information in PLM/PLP systems.
- Responsible for line planning, SKU strategies, seasonal introduction plans, and wholesale/retail pricing to meet revenue and profitability objectives.
- Establish and maintain business reporting systems to measure brand and business results.
- Works closely with Brand Marketing and Creative Department to develop packaging, retail merchandising programs, advertising strategies, and other marketing programs. Has Category responsibility for adherence to brand marketing guidelines.
- Creates and delivers compelling presentations at sales meetings, trade shows, retailer pre-lines, and PR events.
- Responsible for the Street/Cruiser/Custom Category P&L, inclusive of revenue, COGs, margin & OpEx.
- Lead efforts to improve revenue and profits or reduce costs associated with products.
- Partner with R&D management to ensure that product development budgets and cost align with financial category requirement.
