About the job
We are looking for a Purchasing / Procurement & Logistics Specialist to manage the company’s installation of wave machines both domestic and international. The specialist will be responsible for parts procurement and deployment with an understanding of international logistics.
This position is well suited for someone with 2+ years of experience, is very detail oriented, knows purchasing and supply chain, and wants to be a part of a tight team and comfortable in a small office environment.
We're located in the heart of Solana Beach, a few blocks from the beach and in a neighborhood loaded with restaurants, shops, and art galleries. It is a great place to go to work everyday.
Specialist Responsibilities include:
• Devising and using fruitful procurement and sourcing strategies
• Discovering profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
• Negotiating with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
• Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies
• Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
• Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
• Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
• Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
• Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
• Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
• Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
• Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
