Job Description

The Sourcing manager will lead and manage the forecasted demand planning, purchasing, production planning, inventory management. Demonstrated success in all aspects of technical apparel procurement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Lead and direct the sourcing process and Oversee, manage and provide strategic direction in the areas of sourcing and costing, in accordance with business goals and Manufacturing Direction
-Provide leadership to teams to ensure desired results are achieved and timely delivery of product
-Manage the areas of sourcing, costing and pricing
-Ensure apparel product meet standards and are at a cost to achieve profitability goals
-Communicate business initiatives, strategies and on-going business/process updates for staff
-Identify and offer solutions to problems and systemic issues across product teams or throughout respective area of the business
-Thorough understanding of international business
-Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including, sourcing, development, production and quality is necessary
-Must be able to solve problems through research and analyze results
-Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities
-Ability to think big-picture, anticipates problems, plan and implement corrective actions
-Strong communication skills with internal and external customers
-Strong sense of customer service, training and presentation skills
-Open mind to develop an understanding of apparel business practices, and ability to conduct business within this environments.
-Sensitive to differing cultures, customs and business practices. Ability to negotiate, influence, persuade and motivate
-Able to prioritize, direct and manage people and projects through to completion, work with all levels of management and different groups
-Able to facilitate meetings efficiently and effectively


Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
-Bachelor Degree in Textiles, Business or Merchandising.
-Minimum 8 years' experience in the textile industry, with 4 years previous proven leadership and management experience
-Business knowledge in the areas of supply chain management, planning systems, inventory management, financials, quality systems and project management
-Proven track record of problem solving and strong analytical expertise, including data mining, reporting, and ability to monitor key performance metrics
-Ability to establish and successfully implement strategic plans
-Self-motivated with strong organizational skills (demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities)
-Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented environment
-Experience working within a technically demanding, interfaced-systems environment
-Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion
-Proven ability to lead cross-functional or global projects
-Excellent written and verbal communications skills
-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a global environment using all types of virtual communication technology
-Experience successfully partnering and building relations with other functional teams, both internally and externally: vendor, supplier, sales, quality, logistics, etc
