About the job
The Trim Developer owns the Trim development process for all divisions from concept through to commercialization. Must remain true and sensitive to the creative directions of Design/Merchandising while striving to maintain the highest quality standards for Mountain Hardwear.
Responsibilities:
•Work closely with Design and Merchandising to procure critical design information related to the trim development of all MHW Product Categories.
•Source and develop trims in multiple countries as required by manufacturing. Work to insure consistent quality and design integrity for same item sourced with multiple suppliers.
•Distribute all relevant development information to concerned liaison offices and/or domestic vendors.
•Monitor new and multi-sourced trims to ensure they are developed within established timelines for salesman samples/production.
•Maintain PDM trim library – assign PDM numbers and update trim specifications. Work closely with Design and Product Development to create seasonal trim palette in PDM.
•Maintain seasonal trim development list. Includes communicating development status, changes and general concerns to Design, Merchandising, Product Development and Sourcing.
•Review material samples prior to approval to ensure that they meet design requirements as well as Mountain Hardwear specifications and quality standards.
•File drawer maintenance for approved quality sample storage, Organization and maintenance of trim library, Set up and maintenance of trim lab dip list.
•Post current season CADS and physical samples in trim/color display unit – resource library.
•Communicate arrival of new vendor samples to Designers and Associates.
•Schedule vendor meetings. Use Outlook to coordinate appropriate time for appointments. Communicate schedule to all Designers and Associates.
