General Summary

The primary role of the Quality Assurance Director is to establish, implement, and maintain quality assurance system and associated procedures to preserve product integrity and consistency at all stages of the production life cycle. To ensure global manufacturing partners meet and exceed minimum Code of Conduct standards and establish, implement, and maintain routine capability audit inspections that ensure La Jolla Groups global factory base demonstrates the ability to exceed product workmanship and performance standards as communicated by its various brands and/or retail customers. The Quality Assurance Director is responsible for providing guidance to cross-functional departments within the company and to uphold best practices throughout the supply chain and help promote a culture of Quality in the organization
Essential Job Functions

•Establish and manage raw material product testing and compliance requirements as determined by the brand and/or customer.
•Develop procedures, workflow, and corrective action procedures for in-process product inspection.
•Establish and implement appropriate standards for inspection and create product quality documentation system.
•Negotiate and manage expenses required to implement quality assurance procedures.
•Determine strategy, execution, and corrective action follow up of factory validation audits including but not limited to:
o Factory Capability Audits
o Factory Purchasing, Production, Shipping, and Quality Assurance Procedures
o Factory Tours/Inspections
o Weekly Inline and Final Inspection
o Process for Remote Inspection and Audits due to COVID19
•Maintain supply chain mapping and cotton verification to provide transparency of raw goods origin and ensure best practices.
•Monitor the progress and provide guidance of Quality Assurance procedures for domestic and overseas vendors.
•Review required sample pulls and final inspections and strategize techniques to improve vendor practices to mitigate corrective actions.
•Determine 3rd Part Logistics Inspection strategy, execution, and follow up.
•Coach and manage quality assurance staff on all inspection processes and requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•Maintenance of professional and technical knowledge to continuously improve Quality Assurance procedures and standards.
•Ability to effectively identify and resolve problems.
•Strong organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
•Ability to prioritize tasks appropriately to ensure deadlines are met.
•Must be able to work effectively across multiple functions with business colleagues domestically and internationally.
Required Education and Experience

•Bachelor’s Degree – Design or Merchandising or equivalent experience/training.
•Minimum 8-10 years of experience in previous Quality Assurance Role Mandatory
•Intermediate computer skills with emphasis on MS Office software, Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge in Illustrator is a plus.
•Full Circle knowledge a plus
•PLM software experience also a plus

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to type and use technical sources.
