2XU is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Operations team. 2XU is relocating to Los Angeles, just minutes from its new flagship retail store, and is poised to dominate the performance athletic apparel market in the United States. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a rapidly growing global brand and gain hands on knowledge and experience that is unlikely to be found anywhere else. Candidate must be a self-starter and have the ability to prioritize, multi-task, problem solve and make reasonable administrative decisions based on the organizations policies and practices. This position will report directly to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s financial and management accounting.

Job Duties:

• Assist Financial Controller in monthly/annual financial closings and financial reporting, GL reconciliations, cash management, and reporting as needed
• Responsible for sales and margin reporting analysis (daily, weekly, monthly, YTD)
• Support Group financial planning process including annual budget and quarterly forecast
• Provide audit support to outside auditors during interim and year end financial audits
• Implement and maintain accounting and organizational procedures/policies to create efficiencies and minimize risk and exposure
• Prepares monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts and credit cards
• Prepares various accounting/financial reports/statements and analyses to monitor overall financial performance and to communicate such results directly to various internal management teams.
• Conducts periodic reconciliations of other financial accounts as directed by the Financial Controller to ensure their accuracy
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations relating to accounting and finance functions

Job Requirements

Core Competencies / Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Accounting or Finance. Public accounting experience a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Proficiency in Ap21 or similar ERP system is highly desired
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel
• Strong analytical skills, communication skills (written and verbal), work ethic and problem solving skills
• Ability to meet set deadlines
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment
• Ability to work professionally with both internal and external customers
