Position Summary:
The Product Manager Wheels will establish a comprehensive business and product strategy for aftermarket and OE wheels to achieve and maximize its effect for the Cannondale product portfolio. They will be required to establish short, medium and long-term goals and strategy for the development of wheels to ensure brand vision and corporate objectives are met for our global bike market. The position will require a unique entrepreneurial aptitude for translating customer needs into desired bicycle product.
Responsibilities:
Provide direction for the product category with consideration of customer needs.
Establish business strategy to achieve sales, net margin, and SKU productivity for wheels with the leaders of Product Management, Sales, Finance, and Sourcing
Collaborate with Dir. Suspension, Parts, Accessories for quarterly line reviews and maintenance of 3-year product roadmap
Research rider trends, travel to events, connect with riders, build a product line that is commercially relevant
Create product briefs with prioritized customer needs in close collaboration with engineering, industrial design, and graphic
Develop competitive analysis for different markets and sub segments.
Maintain product line list with accurate SKUs, introduction and discontinue dates.
Work directly with key suppliers to obtain relevant product information and maintain delivery timelines.
Oversight of project deadlines for design, engineering, specification and commercialization of products and alert team members to actions.
Planning and participation in on-bicycle product evaluation sessions.
Develop and conduct presentations on product vision, features, functionality and service to marketing, sales, distributors, service centers, dealers, and media in person or via video.
Work with Marketing and Sales to develop sales publications, catalogs, packaging, web content and product launch packages.
Properly identify and ensure on-time release service kits for proprietary components.
Write and edit copy for print and video technical service instructions.
Work with Demand Planning and Sales to deliver accurate regional forecasts.
Follow internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.
Contribute to the success of company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned

Essential Qualifications:
Mastery knowledge of bicycle parts, components, assembly, repair, and operation required.
Minimum of 5 years relevant Product Management experience in cycling industry
Excellent communicator with proven skills in presenting, writing, speaking and listening.
Experience in working with Asian suppliers
Knowledge of trends, market drivers, and customers in the cycling industry
Excellent financial analysis, data management and business math skills
Demonstrated success in growing product categories.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office software programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams.
Beneficial Qualifications:
Sales experience
Understanding of European and Asian markets
Knowledge of various manufacturing and assembly process and cost association
Advanced bicycle riding skills applicable across all performance categories
Strong bicycle technical and mechanical skills
