Job Title: Inside Sales Representative
Location: Wilton, CT
Position Summary:
The Account Manager is the most frequent point of contact for our dealer base. They are responsible for developing and maintaining customer base through effective sales and service campaigns. The right person for this job has a mix of high energy, attention to detail and a dedication to providing best in class service. Each Account Manager answers inbound telephone calls, makes outbound sales calls, and responds to communications from our North American retailers regarding sales, product, delivery and inventory.

Reports To: Inside Sales Manager
Others Served: Director Sales Operations NA; Regional Sales Managers, Account Managers

Duties and Responsibilities
Sell to a select territory of dealers, providing excellent customer service and exhibiting finely tuned sales skills.
Will have direct sales and service responsibility for accounts within assigned market area.
Answers inbound telephone calls and emails, from bicycle retailers pertaining to sales, product, delivery, inventory, customer complaints and general inquiries; in a professional and timely manner
Places outbound sales and service calls to existing territory dealer base, on a daily basis.
Track sales/service interactions through CRM and update/maintain retail accounts information; including dealer contacts, account notes, floor share, and account notes.
Identify new business opportunities and make contacts with prospective customers.
Enter sales orders and ensure timely shipment by actively managing the order book.
Assist dealers with inventory analysis and make suggestions for improving inventory.
Note competitors products and price points. Communicate competition information to internal Product Development and Executives appropriately.
Spend time with dealers sales people, training them on product and sales techniques as appropriate.
Work with product managers in creating a product that will meet customers approval.
Promote each new product line for each year.
Notify Sales Operations of over/under performance according to forecast.
Assist with the annual marketing and sales plan development.
Assist in product packaging development and pricing strategies as needed.
Recommend and implement new sales strategies.
Assist with logistics and distribution to ensure optimal delivery for customers.
Maintain relationships with existing customers through effective customer service.
Recognize, document, and alert the team leader of trends in dealer calls.
Assist with on-the-job training and best practices for all sales representatives.
Projects a professional company image through all lines of communication
Provide weekly sale forecasts for select accounts.
Track sales, credits, inventory transfers and other territory adjustments, to select dealers
Follows internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.

Essential Qualifications
Bachelors degree with a minimum of 2+ years experience in the bicycle/sporting goods industry required, to include dealership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to use MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Superior customer service and sales skills required.
Must be a team player and willing to assist in other areas such as logistics and inside service.
Must be able to organize and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
Must be flexible to work a varied full time schedule during the hours of 8:30am to 8:00pm ET-Monday-Friday.

Beneficial Qualifications
The candidate should be self-motivated, highly flexible, and have the ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced demanding environment.
Experience using a CRM is a plus
Experience using a SAP is a plus
Experience working in bicycle shop or completion of bicycle mechanics training program.
Passion for Cycling and the Cycling Industry
Desire to advance within the industry is a plus
Physical Demands
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
