Cannondale is looking for a Production Artist to join the Color & Graphic design team. We thrive on creating fresh graphic stories and clean progressive designs that will be applied to bicycle frames, components, and other collateral. We are looking for someone who has a proven ability to take 2D concepts and adapt and apply the concept to a physical form. This person will be a self-starter and will thrive in problem solving and executing at times under tight deadlines.

Position SummaryThe primary responsibility of this position is to take unique visual concepts for inline and special project bicycles and create artwork/production files to be submitted to our manufacturing network. You will be responsible for communicating updates and checking factory samples once artwork has been submitted. You will travel to research on the latest painting, decal, and production techniques to implement within our own workflow. This role is part of the Product team at Cannondale, which is comprised of other graphic designers, product managers, package designers, industrial designers, engineers etc. This role will report to the Director of Global Creative, Color & Trend, and will be based at our Wilton, CT headquarters, with a flexible in-office/work from home schedule.
Responsibilities
Be an outside the box thinker and high IQ in problem solving 2D graphical concepts into 3D physical products
Possess strong knowledge of consumer products; outdoor, cycling, as well as production techniques
Have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables, while adhering to product guidelines and project requirements
Create production files and visual collaterals for reviews and vendor communications
Create sample mockups using our paint booth to showcase new concepts
Work and collaborate with internal design team
Work with key stakeholders to ensure design packages are complete and on time

Qualifications
BFA in Graphic Design or related discipline
3+ years in product production design and execution
An online portfolio with specific examples of high-quality design work
Intimate knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop
Experience in the paint booth, paint techniques and decal application
Strong skillset in digital design techniques
Ability to take concept through production
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Organized and self-motivated individual with an attention to detail, and able to excel both when working alone and when collaborating with others
10% travel domestically and internationally for product sampling
Modo/3D rendering experience is a plus
Augmented/Virtual Reality experience is a plus

Physical Demands:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business
