Job Title: Accountant
Location: Osaka, Japan
Position Summary:
Responsible for ensuring accuracy and timeliness of Cannondale Japan financial records including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statements.
Financial Responsibilities:
Apply principles of accounting to record financial information and help financial reports by compiling information, utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures for profit and loss statements
Responsibilities:
Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
General ledger operations such as daily journal entries, AR/AP entries, and reconciliation
Reconcile inter-company accounts
Assist with accounts receivable to assure timely collection to issue statement and to communicate internally and externally
Assist with accounts payable to review each invoice and post into system before payment.
Assist with tax computations and returns
Assist with payroll administration
Account/bank reconciliations
Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process
Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
Prepare and process Social Insurance, Employee pension, and Labor Insurance with related parties.
Record and file employee vacation
Assist with monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports
Manage 1 direct report: Manage and review work plan. Conduct training & development related to accounting.
Other duties as assigned.
Follows internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.
Contributes to the success of company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
3+ years of related financial experience
Attention detail and accuracy
Planning and organizing
Scheduling and monitoring

Physical Demands:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
