Position: Sr Financial Analyst
Location: Madison, WI
Full-time/Part-time/Temporary: Full-time
Job Summary
Provide support for financial planning and analysis process for PCG including ownership of reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting of operating expenses, daily sales, and KPI reporting.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Routine reporting (5% )
Compile and distribute daily sales reporting for U.S. and Canada vs Budget and Forecast
Provide Weekly Flash forecast to corporate
Coordinate and upload bi-weekly update to corporate
Operating expense forecasting and analysis (30%)
Work with functional leaders to build annual cost center budgets
Work with functional leaders monthly to forecast spending by month and provide recommendations for savings/cuts
Work with functional leaders and finance lead on Operations Expense reporting and analysis of monthly actual results vs Budget, Forecast, and Prior Year
Upload forecasts into appropriate systems
Budget payroll, payroll taxes, and benefits for entire PCG organization
Month-end close activities (10%)
Work with Shared Services to book various month-end entries including allocations and corrections
Participate in balance sheet reserve meetings and follow-up on issues as appropriate
Participate in monthly P&L closing meeting and provide input on accruals, corrections, and other required entries
Capital tracking (5%)
Work with finance lead to budget and forecast capital spending
Work with Shared Services to track open capital projects and make recommendations on closing projects or making appropriate accruals
Perform capital post-audits at direction of finance lead
Monthly and Quarterly Reporting (25%)
Prepare monthly scorecards and reporting decks
Create, maintain, and pull reports to populate regular KPI reporting
Provide other reporting as necessary to support business requirements
Assist in maintaining internal controls (5%)
Manage AP authority matrix
Ensure supported functional leaders understand and adhere to signing limits
Other projects as assigned (20%)
Follows internal controls and company policies set by Pacific Cycle Inc. and Dorel Sports.
Contributes to the success of Pacific Cycle Inc. by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
2-5 years of related work experience
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office tools
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP, a plus
Must possess ability to work collaboratively across various levels of the organization
