About the job

Responsibilities:


A highly visible role that will oversee the CSG Europe Demand Planning process. This is a hands-on position responsible for developing and executing forecasts - in close collaboration with Sales and Marketing - that will enable CSG Europe to meet sales and service objectives. Collaboration with other members of the Supply Chain is paramount to achieve these sales and service objectives.


Market analysis:


Perform market analysis using multiple tools/models.

Forecasting:


Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.

Harness the organizations knowledge and resources to produce sales forecasts that will be used in the Sales and Operations Planning Cycle.

Prepare background information to support sales forecasting.

Be involved in identifying significant variances between sales forecasts, budgets and business plans.

Teamwork:


Work with the New Product Development team to forecast sales of new products.

Work with other departments including Operations, New Product Development and Supply Chain to ensure the consistent, cost-effective supply of products to customers.

Continuous improvement:


Continuously improve the sales forecasting processes and systems, ensuring that forecast accuracy is constantly improving.

Measure, analyze, report and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor adherence to them. KPIs such as forecast accuracy and forecast bias.

Essential Qualifications:


Bachelors degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields;

A minimum of 5 years experience in a demand planning/forecasting role;

Industry knowledge;

Tertiary qualification;

Supply Chain knowledge APICS qualification preferred;

Proficiency with statistical and forecasting fundamentals;

Understanding of financial impact of forecasting and related decisions;

Proficiency with software systems (SAP preferred) including Sales Forecasting applications

Analytical, numerate;

Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills;

Strong presentation skills;

Ability to lead cross-functionally;

Detail oriented;

Persistent and goal oriented.

Beneficial Qualifications:


Prior experience working for a global brand and multi-national business.

Prior experience in working with luxury goods.

A passion for mountain and road bikes, actions sports, and/or outdoor lifestyle.

Physical Demands:


Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.

Must be able to travel internationally for business.
