Position Summary:
Become an expert on Dorel Sports web properties and ensure that the best product possible is being delivered. As an integral member of our development team, the QA Analyst is integrated into all points of our SDLC.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
Must be able to travel for business throughout Canada, US and Internationally.
Responsibilities:
Perform cross-browser/device testing for brand initiatives, redesigns, and day-to-day maintenance for our global B2B and direct-to-consumer branded websites.
Verify defect resolutions that are pushed to production on a regular cadence.
Develop test plans and test cases for user stories that match back to business and functional acceptance criteria
Actively work with the Development and Design teams to ensure quality standards are met.
Execute automated tests for common and tedious test cases.
Create automated tests when possible using tools such as Selenium.
Participate in daily stand-ups and biweekly sprint planning meetings.
Be at the forefront of web and mobile web development technologies and methodologies.
Follow internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.
Contributes to the success of company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent
3+ years professional experience in a QA role
Knowlegde of modern web browsers as well as mobile devices (iOS, Android).
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and SQL.
Attention to detail to find even the smallest of defects
Experience working with popular CMS platforms from a business perspective
Experience creating and executing test cases for user stories or tasks
Good verbal and written English required
Passion to deliver high-quality working code frequently
Ability to research and document application problems
Beneficial Qualifications:
Experience with Sitecore a plus
Knowledge of Continuous Integration
Experience with Selenium
