Position Summary:


Responsible for demand and supply planning activities for Charge.com & Key Accounts.


Responsibilities:


Demand Planning:


Deliver accurate and timely demand plan for North American Sales Region for select product groups [Charge, Cannondale, GT], customers [REI, MEC, DSG, FGL] and channels [Direct to Consumer, Extended Aisle, Retail, Direct to Warehouse]

Develop detailed understanding of product and industry trends in order to further improve forecast accuracy

Merge business trends (Internal and External) with Marketing initiatives to enhance the forecast while also integrating input from Sales, Digital Marketing, Product Management and other key stakeholders

Provide Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations teams with sales and supply reports as needed.

Conduct regular business and performance reviews related to demand and Drive Root Cause Problem Solving and action planning/execution to improve forecast accuracy.

Drive demand system enhancements that align to best-in-class processes

Supply Planning:


Responsible for purchasing and tracking delivery of assigned categories.

Establish and maintain inventory strategy for product groups to ensure inventory and availability goals are met.

Communicate product status to the Sales and Customer Service Teams.

Review open POs, maintain accurate pricing, delivery status, and perform PO cancellations when needed.

Ensure timely delivery of material

Facilitate warehouse in resolving receiving issues due to inaccurate / missing purchase order information

Work in tandem with Asian office expediting and updating PO delivery & logistic information.

Create/Update Purchase Info Records on all models where applicable.

Analyze daily MRP results to generate purchase orders.

Maintain factory addresses, contact lists, and set up vendor information.

Approve loading plan when container underutilization has occurred.

General:


Create and maintains Material Master & Info Record data in SAP as needed.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for demand planning, supply planning and purchasing.

Follow internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.

Contribute to the success of company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:


BS/BA degree with 3-5 years experience in purchasing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proven successful experience in an inventory management, planning, MRP, forecasting, or closely related role.

Ability to work with overseas suppliers

Willingness to travel overseas if required

Experience with and knowledge of SAP ECC and SAP APO (SNP/DP)

Must have the desire to take ownership of the supply/delivery function

Must be committed to continuous improvement.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail a must.

Beneficial Qualifications:


An Associates or bachelors degree is preferred in Supply Chain Management, Production, or Business administration or related field, but not a requirement.

APICS certification

Experience in consumer goods importing

Knowledge of the Outdoor Sports Industry or passion for Cycling

The candidate should be self-motivated, highly flexible, and have the ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced demanding environment.

Physical Qualifications:


Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

Must be able to sit at a computer and type for extended periods of time.
