Position Summary:
The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the email strategy and execution across the portfolio of Dorel Sports brands (Cannondale, GT, Fabric, Mongoose, and Schwinn brands.)
This role is instrumental in creating the strategy, execution and growing email marketing performance. This role will manage the day to day activity of the global email program and lead the channel within the company.
Responsibilities:
The primary focus of this role is to plan, develop, manage and execute daily email marketing campaigns. This includes strategic planning, audience identification/segmentation, creative and copy development, email deployment and performance reporting.
Develop email strategies and tactics to Dorel Sports acquisition goals
Manage and grow email marketing lists through marketing channels
Execute personalization campaigns (customized subject lines, copy, creative, etc.) to get the right message to the right customer at the right time
Serve as the primary marketing liaison with our email service provider, and be the subject matter expert on its tools, capabilities and roadmap
Work with regional marketing teams to provide best practices & email
Work with creative teams to provide best in class email campaigns
Use a data-driven approach to optimize the customer journey from acquisition and segmentation, to post-purchase and re-engagement
Follows internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.
Contributes to the success of company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience managing email campaigns
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or related fields
Experience managing and executing sophisticated email campaigns
Advanced working knowledge of email platforms
Experience identifying and running successful A/B testing within email testing environments
Experience managing email service providers
Experience working with email template creation and email best practices
Experience tagging and tracking emails for reporting purposes.
Polished professional with excellent interpersonal communication skills
Experience with CAN-SPAM, CASL, and/or other compliance requirements
Beneficial Qualifications:
Experience with HTML, SQL a plus
Experience working in ecommerce
Experience selling products or services online
Experience automating drip email campaigns and email triggers
Experience working with content management systems, specifically Sitecore, Magento, Shopify
Strong project management skills, with the ability to successfully guide and execute multiple projects simultaneously
Strong leadership qualities and team management experience
Strong presentation skills with peers and senior management
Physical Demands:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment
Travel domestic and international; approx. 5-10% of time
