Primitive continues to grow and is looking for a Merchandising Assistant to join the team in Chatsworth, Ca. This position is temporary with the potential to become permanent.
SUMMARY: This person provides support to the merchandiser and development team, under the supervision from the merchandiser and development to ensure delineated tasks are met on time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but not limited to;
⏵ Proficient in Microsoft skills
⏵ Administrative support
⏵ Excel experience is advanced.
⏵ Accurately enters various data into systems.
⏵ Obtains samples for approval prior to shipping.
⏵ Pulls data and creates selling reports for the Merchandising and Ecommerce Team.
⏵ Maintains professional relationships with external and internal partners via telephone, email and face-to-face meetings.
⏵ Communicates to daily regarding samples, costs, orders, amendments, issues, as well as any pre-production issues.
⏵ Prepares merchandiser for presentations/meetings with the cross-functional teams.
⏵ Assists with special projects to include researching information.
⏵ Prepares and maintains daily status reports (WIP) and other management reports as required.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High school degree or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of related administrative experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
SKILLS: Ability to read and understand documents such as general correspondence, department reports, OTB reports, retail math, and office procedures/memos. Experience with consumer products, sporting goods, fashion, or licensing, in a corporate office is a plus. Additionally, experience in Illustrator and web-based systems are a plus.
