Primitive is looking for a Production Assistant.
This position collaborates with cross-functional teams including sales, product development, technical design, logistics, warehouse, and accounting. Must be an excellent communicator, problem solver and multi-tasker, with the ability to manage competing priorities. Serves as the point person between internal departments and external vendors.
Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
• Issue and maintain all production orders to vendors under guidance of production manager
• Style master setup/maintenance and order form creation
• Coordinate, track, and login all incoming samples from vendors
• Print all vendor WIP reports and identify issues
• Regularly follow up with vendors on all open purchase orders
• Coordinate incoming shipments from vendors to distribution centers with freight forwarder
• Create and distribute PO packing instructions to vendors
• Purchase and manage trim inventory and purchase price tickets for vendor distribution
• Support other departments, as needed
• Ad hoc reporting
Job Requirements:
• 3+ years’ experience in production/manufacturing
• Experience working with overseas vendors
• Knowledge of transportation & logistics
• Familiarity with and adhere to vendor compliance manuals
• Knowledge of an ERP system
Required Skills:
• Ability to work in individual and group settings
• Ability to adjust to changing priorities
• Excellent attention to detail toward meticulous work
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to maintain professional and positive attitude
• Goal oriented
