In 2010, we started making sun care products to protect ourselves, our families and our friends from the damaging rays of the sun. Since then, we’ve grown and expanded into hair care and lip care products, and even launched Baby Bum, our rad new plant-based baby skin care line. Along the way, we’ve been building an amazing like-minded global community of friends that encourage us and help us be better. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Voice and Vibe.
o Manage and embody the brand voice.
o Help curate content that reflects our unique, aspirational brand aesthetic and vibe.
Content creation and curation.
o Work with Social Media/Content Manager and Marketing team to draft and publish content for social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and more.
o Develop and manage social and content calendars relevant to each channel and audience. Establish an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and consumer engagement.
o Help brainstorm, compile and publish content to the blog.
o Think of rad ideas to constantly stimulate and disrupt social norms.
o Help monitor and respond to comments and hashtags on all social channels on same day as received; across Sun Bum and Baby Bum, as directed by Marketing leadership.
o Manage all Direct Messages and work with Social Media/Content Manager and Marketing team on appropriate follow ups.
o Help employ tactics such as giveaways, influencer seeding and content contributor programs to build audience and drive engagement.
o Manage calendar of Ambassadors/Team Riders, Influencers who come to visit our Encinitas office – help host them and capture content that can be weaved into broader brand stories.
o Foster social and brand partner conversations and leverage them to help build/manage communities and networks.
o Organize and manage seeding to community and contest winners. Provide reports on insights and engagement from outreach efforts.
o Help broader Marketing team with brand collaboration opportunities, retailer social media needs and opportunities and other community-building efforts.
o Think globally, implement scalable plans that flourish in an international environment.
o General marketing and admin support as needed.
o Measure and report performance of all social marketing campaigns and assess against goals.
o Monitor all social media outlets on a daily basis to respond and provide insight as needed to the marketing team.
o Develop and share out monthly/quarterly social media reports with broader team.
o Stay up to date with changes in all social platforms.
o Help manage relationships with social media agencies and social monitoring platforms to support, cross promote and develop operational and commercial opportunities.
o Act as a champion for the brand, regularly presenting brand positioning, programming and performance success stories across internal and external audiences.
