Sun Bum is growing and we just created a new position for someone to join us as Retailer Compliance Specialist.
The Retailer Compliance Specialist is responsible for a variety of tasks associated with the addition of new mass/major retail trading partners and the subsequent compliance with those retailers’ requirements once agreements are reached between the retailer and Sun Bum, LLC.
The key responsibilities of this role are outlined but not limited to the below:
• Work closely with the VP of Sales and the National Sales Manager to stay aware of all new potential Mass/Major Retail Partner relationships
• Receive and review all new retailer documentation required for onboarding the new retailer relationship
o Complete as much of the documentation as possible personally
o Summarize requirements from other internal departments ensuring deadlines that comply with the retailer’s request for documentation completion
o Collate information supplied by other internal resources to finalize the documentation for submission to the legal team/CEO for final signoff
o Provide feedback to the sales team on any concerns/inability to comply with retailer requirements
o Keep detailed records of all documentation that is finalized/supplied to any new retailer
• Complete and deliver final new retailer worksheet/documentation for Customer Service and Warehouse for retailer setup in the Sun Bum system and Warehouse WMS. This worksheet/documentation packet should contain but not be limited to all information required for fulfillment to each new retailer such as:
o Customer name/addresses/contacts
o Routing guide
o Payment terms
o Freight terms
o Special handling requirements
o Portal information/login details
o Dispute process
o Sold in product mix
- Case pack
- Pricing
• Act as primary administrator of all retailer portals providing accurate product information for retailer purchase, maintaining all retailer contacts, and supplying all relevant information to all internal teams requiring access to said portals.
• Act as primary liaison between sales/operations/customer service/EDI team/warehouse staff to ensure retailer compliance once each new retailer relationship is established.
o Field all inquiries regarding shipping compliance from warehouse and ensure proper response time to all
o Alert customer service/EDI team/warehouse of any major projects/display fulfillment/etc. that the sales team has in process with each retailer
o Work directly with customer service/EDI team to ensure all product mix changes are communicated to the warehouse and added to the Sun Bum system so no PO receipt errors occur
• Receive and communicate all retailer requirement changes to all effected parties to ensure we minimize any non-compliance with all retailers
o Sales
o Operations
o Customer Service
o EDI
• Assist Sun Bum Accounting in any and all dispute resolution processes
o Gathering relevant documentation for dispute from warehouse team et al
o Filing disputes as necessary
o Following up with retailer/broker contacts to resolve disputes
o Etc.
