Location: AFTCO Headquarters in Santa Ana, CA, or Marsh Wear Headquarters in Charleston, SC.
Salary: Based on experience

As our Social Media Strategist, your primary responsibility is to manage the strategy, content distribution and performance on all AFTCO and Marsh Wear social media channels. This will require a mix of publishing, community management, campaign distribution and reporting for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and TikTok. Through collaboration with our internal marketing team, pro staff and conservation partners, this role will distribute engaging and relevant content to draw in new consumers and engage our current community.

The key goal for this position is the growth of the AFTCO and Marsh Wear communities online and then the creative distribution of brand messaging, products and events. This position reports to the Content Marketing Manager As part of the AFTCO and Marsh Wear teams, you will be on the front lines of our digital community and will be responsible for elevating the overall quality, performance and engagement through these channels.

esponsibilities:

1. Social Media:
- Create holistic social media strategy with a strong desire for organic growth and fostering new relationships in the community.
- Build a calendar for daily posts that aligns with the master marketing calendar and create social media specific campaigns to meet business goals.
- Schedule and publish organic content across social media platforms including Facebook, lnstagram, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok and Pinterest.
- Evolve brand presence and look for ways to add new channels and content categories into our social media strategy.
- Maintain a library of social assets on BrandFolder.
- Maintain ongoing social and digital media technology research to stay current with platform evolutions and impacts for AFTCO and Marsh Wear.
2. Community Management:
- Proactively engage with AFTCO and Marsh Wear audiences, key conservation partners and ambassadors to maintain brand presence in the fishing and outdoor industry.
- Work with the customer service team to address consumer issues as they arise and interact with all customers who directly message the brands.
- Curate content from AFTCO & Marsh Wear pro staff to be reshared.
3. Analytics & Reporting:
- Track key metrics and provide weekly/monthly/annual reports and campaign recaps to leadership team.
- Assist in planning organic and paid social media support campaigns for new product introductions and brand initiatives to ensure successful launches.

Requirements:
- Strong writing skills and a passion for storytelling through written and visual content.
- Strong organizational skills necessary to plan daily messages on multiple social platforms while maintaining consideration and care for social media audiences and demonstrating a customer-first mentality.
- Ability to help define social media strategy and collaborate with the Content Marketing Manager to set procedures moving forward for the brand channels.
- Self-motivated, capable of multitasking and juggling several projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to contribute in a collaborative team environment.
- Understanding and familiarity of the Active / Outdoor sportswear or sporting goods market is a plus.
- Knowledge of and strong passion for fishing is preferred.
