JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
! The Payroll Specialist reports to the Finance Manager.
! Analyzes prepares and inputs payroll data to meet weekly payroll processing deadlines.
! Assist with the instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc
! Contact managers for missed timecards, unapproved time, validation of time Process all aspects of payroll data to and from ADP Review Audits for payroll.
! Process manual checks and adjustments as necessary.
! Maintain and update employee records in connection with Workday through daily integration between the systems.
! Regularly performs audits of employee information in concert with the HR and timekeeping systems to ensure accuracy of records and to maintain data integrity.
! Identify and develop automated tools and reports that enable Business Partners and People Leaders to make informed decisions.
! Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
! Provides customer service to internal and external customers in the areas of pay, taxes, company deductions, PTO plans, and verifications of employment.
! Support Operations with administration of the production data and employee performance database.
! Prepare routine miscellaneous receipt deposits per corporate policies and procedures.
! Administration of employee loan program.
Qualifications
! Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal wage and hour laws
! Strong organization and communication skills.
! High level of attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures.
! Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically.
! Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
! Experience using Excel and MS Office Applications a plus.
! Ability to work independently, perform against tight deadlines and multi-task effectively.
! Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams within HR and Operations.
! High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
! Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll processing in a multi-shift environment.
! Approach role with a customer centric mindset on how to best serve the internal associates.
! Sitting for long periods of time.
