About the Job

Levi Strauss and Co. is seeking an Analyst within Trade Compliance to coordinate data resources, generate and maintain dynamic automated reports and dashboards to drive key business decisions.

This role is responsible for supporting US and Canada import/export operational activities on technical compliance issues, monitoring business transactions for compliance accuracy, assisting with the mitigation of fines and penalties, auditing, all to the purpose of achieving a high standard of compliance within US and Canada government rules and regulations. This role will work closely with logistics, carriers, internal departments and customs brokers to support the compliance of operational process. Responsible for customs entry audits to ensure broker quality and accuracy in filing customs entries in accordance to Company procedures and requirements. Contribute to special GTM solutions project as needed.

**This is a hybrid role so our ideal candidate is located in the Bay Area but there will be flexibility around remote work.

Responsibilities:
! Apply working knowledge of trade compliance regulations and requirements to support business needs
! Gather and analyze raw data by exploring new methodologies to create visualizations, dynamic automated reports and dashboards to drive key business decisions
! Maintain audit platform, analysis and dashboards quality
! Investigate and resolve data quality problems
! Support daily operational matters by providing oversight and resolution of trade compliance issues which impact the clearance or movement of goods
! Maintain compliance due diligence reports, records, policies and procedures
! Assist with responding to post entry inquiries such as requests for information and managing post entry administrative activity
! Conduct audits on US and Canada customs entries for accuracy in valuation, classification, origin, and other compliance metrics and work with designated customs brokers to amend discrepancies
! Review design and development costs periodically to support customs value adjustments
! Assist with targeted audits for free trade agreement eligibility or first sale
! Support preparation for customs audits as needed
! Support on GTM solutions project as needed
! Contribute to special projects and assignments related to international trade as needed
About You! 5+ years of working experience in trade compliance or other related fields
! US/Canada Customs Brokers License or CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) is a plus, but not required
! Strong working knowledge and experience of import/export trade rules and operations, FTZ operation, HTSUS, and, US CFR19
! Experience working with Customs Brokers, Freight Forwarders, Logistics, or other related fields
! SAP, ACE, and, GTM solutions experience
! Must work well individually and as part of a team
! Good written and oral communication skills
! Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and PC proficient
! Proficiency in Power BI, Phyton, Tableau or other data visualization tools or applications
