JOB DESCRIPTION
A successful PMO Methods & Tools Lead is passionate about supporting the people who work towards the goals and objectives of the program. They will have a clear vision of implementing processes and tools to support the program in achieving it’s goal. They will demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.
PMO Methods & Tools Lead Roles and Responsibilities:! Develop a project management practice of excellence for the solar program
! Streamline and Automate project management processes and methodologies
! Reuse Project Learning and Knowledge to improve processes and the implementation playbook
! Supervise PMO members to ensure all of the following trackers are kept current:! Resource Management and Resource Allocations
! RAID Logs, Change Request Logs and key decision logs
! Oversee the PMO members to ensure following activities are performed on a weekly basis:! Meeting Governance and Meeting Organization
! Prepare and distribute management reports
! Manage Risk and progress on mitigation these risks
! Manage Issues and progress of action logs to close out those issues
! Train and Mentor project managers as well as project team members on solar program ways of workings
! Onboard new project management staff
! Facilitate program and project team collaboration and communication
PMO Methods & Tools Lead Requirements! A Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, or a related field. Or equivalent professional experience
! A Project Management Professional (i.e. PMP, Prince2) Certification is advantageous.
! A minimum of 3 years' experience and proven track record in developing and running a PMO
! Experience and knowledge of large multi-year, multi-regional ERP implementation is a plus
! A minimum of one year's experience in a supervisory position.
! Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Experience managing employees as well as third party contractors
! Good written and verbal communication skills.
! Strong attention to details and analytical thinking along with a healthy dose of common sense
! Excellent organizational and technical skills (Strong MS Office skills, especially PowerPoint a must; Experience in Plainview, Smartsheet, Confluence, Jira, MS Teams, a plus)
