We are looking for a Fabric & Finish Product Developer to support our Levi's® Beyond Denim team who will bring clarity, management, organization and above all else, personality to our team. It is important to us that this person has the energy and desire to execute all activities that are deemed necessary to produce manufacturing ready products and who will bring passion for technical and fabric side of apparel product development. In this role you will have exposure to end-to-end process of product development, beginning at the technical fabric stage, continuing through garment and finish development, and completing with a manufacturing ready product. The skills that go into this role are vital to meet our aesthetic and innovation goals, global sourcing strategies, cost, quality, and safety.

You'll be both ready and excited for the challenge of keeping one of our growing product lines moving from season to season, handling intricate and exciting product, and complex systems with ease. You will report to our Product Development Manager and be based in our San Francisco headquarters at Levi's Plaza. 
About the Job! Drive the development process of Beyond Denim product (Levi's® non-denim chinos, pants, prints, and styled product), including fabric and finish development, from prototype samples to final manufacturing ready package in-line with supply chain strategies, cost, quality, and TOE requirements.
! Strong ability to collaborate with and influence internal teams, ensuring consistent and effective project communication with Manager, Product Development team members, and Cross Functional Partners, including Design, Merchandising, Garment Development, Oversees Sourcing & Vendor counterparts, and Mill Management teams
! Collaborate with Design and Mill partners to develop and review new fabrics, techniques, prints, and yarn dyes for development and through bulk production
! Advise finishing guidelines and capabilities for piece dye, garment dye, print and yarn dye by fabric, vendor, and costing to Cross Functional Partners
! Meet all required deadlines and key performance indicators (KPIs) – aesthetics, physicals, Go to Market (GTM) timing, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) setup and finalization, cost, sourcing, capacity, and lead-time
! Problem-solve challenges in development and production in partnership with cross-functional teams, facilitating conversations in order to ensure final outcomes are met
! Resolve quality concerns that arise during development phase in both fabric and garment, working with counterparts to ensure bulk product is up to Levi's® quality standards
! Execute on digitization plans for development activities and 3D rendering pilots
! Responsible for proactively escalating risks during the design and development phases and providing alternatives to help mitigate concerns
! Maintain open communication and collaboration with manager to ensure projects remain on track and will successfully meet team goals 
About You! Bachelor's Degree in apparel industry, or combination of college education and related work experience
! Minimum of 3-5 years of apparel production, including garment, material, and/or fabric
! In depth knowledge of fabric constructions, dye and printing techniques, finishes, and garment construction and manufacturing/sourcing processes
! Base knowledge of fabric and garment testing is preferred
! Dynamic analytical, problem solving and project management abilities with proven systems knowledge and expertise
! Proven ability to influence and make decisions in a matrix environment where speed and cultural sensitivity is crucial
! Strong technical and proactive communication, both written and verbal
! Excellent attention to detail, time management and prioritization, and able to juggle several job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines
! Solid understanding of Excel (can perform complex functions) and the ability to learn new computer programs, as needed
! Effective interpersonal and organizational skills
! Ability to be flexible in a multi-task environment as job responsibilities evolve
! Strong team orientation
! Excellent discretion, judgment, tact and diplomacy
! Demonstrate an energetic, positive, helpful demeanor and a passion and interest in LS&Co
