JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose

Lead the strategy and development of PR for the Levi’s Brand. Deliver globally relevant stories and engagement that put the brand firmly at the center of culture and contribute to transforming Levi’s into a lifestyle brand led by its values. Maintain and grow brand strength and share of voice among press, media/editorial partners, cultural key opinion leaders, digital influencers and our brand ambassadors. Driving brand impressions, equity and awareness. 

Key Responsibilities:

!       Set the global PR strategy, direction and standards on behalf of the Levi’s brand globally addressing both traditional and digital PR. Annually and for key cycles tied to seasonality as well as key product and brand moments 

!       Develop PR toolkits that contain all direction and information (product, brand and values messaging, availability, roll out dates, pricing, etc.) that inform local team deployment. Including but not limited to: press releases, media alerts and fact sheets.

!       Drive further digitization of PR: be aware of new social and digital media platforms and influencers relevant to Levi’s Target Audiences and build into strategies and activations accordingly; identify ways through which digital and social PR activities can support levi.com traffic and revenue targets, including Affiliates and SEO

!       Partner with Regional PR Teams to assure Global brand alignment (regular meetings with partners)

!       Work closely together with Paid Media, Social Media, and Loyalty/CRM leads to ensure the development of integrated marketing activation strategies and product launch plans 

!        Develop globally cohesive, yet regionally relevant asset support, including, but not limited to: managing media interviews, asset support for PR / influencer events, product/sample/image requests, seasonal product launches, product seeding, marketing initiatives, social media strategies.

!       Assist in spokesperson prep for senior level executives: media training, interview staffing, briefing documents including talking points. 

!       Liaise with LS&Co. Corporate Communications team to ensure the Levi’s Brand is represented, that plans are aligned with over-arching LS&Co. comms strategies and to provide counsel on reputational issues 

!       Develop global reporting standards, KPIs and a process for releasing results
! Act as primary contact for top-tier press, giving us both broad and deep connections to industry and consumer press
! Generate rich, engaging coverage of Levi’s that will make the biggest impact with our fans. Driving near-term business impact and long-term brand awareness
! Build and execute Global Brand events and speaking engagements that puts Levi’s leaders and spokespeople in the right position to build our brand with the right audiences 

!       Budget and agency management

!       Spearhead communication across functional lines: PR, Social, Marketing, Creative, Ecomm, Design and Merchandising 

!       Negotiating PR agency contracts & scopes

Job Requirements: 
! 12+ years of experience with proven track record in PR/corporate communications, including direct experience working with a variety of media and editor partners.  
! Expert skills in communications, media relations, writing, message development and reputation management.
! Sound judgement and demonstrated ability to work with C-level executives on message development for key corporate priorities and timely issues 
! Strong written and spoken communication skills. Ability to present projects clearly and collect and act on feedback from a broad group of stakeholders 
! Ability to effectively manage high-pressure crisis situations, and work in ambiguity to define a clear path 
! Ability to “see the bigger picture” and ensure you are leveraging LS&Co. resources to greatest impact 
! Experience with analyzing and drawing conclusions from a broad set of data. Ability to work with data teams to turn insights into actionable recommendations 
! Acute attention to detail and highly organized — able to successfully prioritize across multiple projects
! Understanding of domestic and international media markets 
! Excellent relationship-building skills
! Location: the location of this role is flexible. With this in mind, the hiring manager is prioritizing the following locations: London, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels or New York City.
