JOB DESCRIPTION
Levi Strauss Europe (LSE) is currently looking for a Credit Analyst Europe, based in our European Headquarters in Diegem, Belgium. As Credit Analyst, you will understand a variety of processes, priorities, and projects across Credit, OTC and other business functions. You will maintain strong partnerships across the matrix with the business, credit team, finance directors and corporate controller group. And, you will adhere to delegated authorities and credit policy for release requests received from the business.

The role:
! Act as a liaison between corporate controller group and internal business partners.
! Communicate credit decisions to the commercial business identified as critical releases.
! Populate weekly/monthly management reporting and to pursue reporting efficiencies and improvements.
! Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis of blocked orders for the LSE region.
! Maintain consistent standards of granting credit by enforcing the global credit policy.
! Assess the needs of business partners through direct interaction.
! Look for opportunities to develop and grow the business through effective use of technology and efficient business processes.
! Analyze bad debt provision and support write-off process and risk evaluation.

Responsibilities:
! Investigate credit escalations, provide clear and timely responses outlining reasons to support order releases or reasons for maintaining a credit hold.
! Focus on continuous improvement and implement cross-functional process opportunities.
! Maintain consistent standards for granting credit, reviewing open credit limits, and setting risk ratings.
! Establish strong, proactive partnerships with other corporate departments within the organization to minimize bad debt losses and improve service to customers.
! Adhere to credit processes, identify risks and opportunities based on business strategy and market conditions.
! Provide training to business partners on key credit processes, in order to increase knowledge and business efficiency.
! Promote an understanding of credit and OTC departments with key focus on their collection and reconciliation.

Requirements:
! Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of relevant technical and business work experience, including Corporate Credit experience and financial statement analysis. Preferable college degree in Finance
! Fluency in English
! Additional language skills would be highly beneficial (especially French.)
! Leadership skills, experience/in-depth knowledge of business operations and systems process requirements.
! Understanding of essential OTC business, collection, and credit functions
! Strong problem solving and analytical skills
! Strong knowledge of SAP, including both Credit and SD functions
! Strong computer literacy with MS Office products, particularly Excel and Word
! Literacy in accounting for bad debt provisions
! Strong communication skills are a must as you will be confident enough to escalate matters when required and with the appropriate justifications.
