On the Search for...

The Merchandise Planner will support the Planning Manager for DTC by owning our growing brick and mortar business. The planner will partner with merchandising, allocation, and marketing teams to develop and manage comprehensive business strategies to drive sales, optimize inventory investment, and generate profit. This role will be responsible for managing the Open-to-Buy, building financial plans, forecasting sales, and reporting out analysis to the broader team. Everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats, and work in a highly collaborative environment that’s more startup than big company.

About the Job
! Drive financial results that maximize revenue, gross margin, inventory turn goals, and minimize excess inventory
! ·Collaborate with Merchandising and Marketing to develop strategies for our Outlet and Mainline doors
! ·Develop bottom-up sales and inventory plans informing financial and inventory decisions inclusive of product mix, AIR, AUC, turn, Receipt Flow
! ·Create and distribute weekly and/or monthly business recaps vs. plan and forecast, with emphasis on performance drivers and providing solutions to business challenges.
! ·Use historical data to identify essential insights around product, pricing, and inventory and apply insights to future seasons.
! ·Manage pricing for the life cycle of products. Recommend promotional pricing and develop markdown strategies that maximize sales and margin and balances inventory.
! ·Own Monthly in-season OTB forecast of sales, receipts, and inventory. Assess and report out risks and opportunities for the business to maximize sales and margin.
! Collaborate with allocation partners to ensure consistent in-season inventory management and replenishment
! Work closely with merchandising to manage product life-cycle pre-season and in-season
! Perform quarterly analysis on financial and assortment performance in conjunction with merchandising and present the learnings in a formal hindsight review.
About You! 2-3 years’ Planning experience, Retail/Brick and Mortar a plus
! Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Planning, or relevant field
! Proficient MS Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
! Strong understanding of retail math, problem solving, and analytical skills
! Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities
! Strong verbal and written communication skills
! Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
! Extreme attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves
