About the job
JOB DESCRIPTION! Support Sales and Property tax manager in all aspects of managing corporate sales and property taxes
! Lead sales and property tax audit defenses
! Work with state and local governments to resolve tax issues, notices and other matters
! Provide sales tax support to ecommerce and store operations
! Research sales and property tax technical issues
! Work with internal business units to provide tax guidance and resolve issues
! Prepare financial journals
! Reconcile general ledger accounts
! Prepare data for sales and property tax returns (the return preparation is outsourced)
! Prepare miscellaneous non-income tax returns
! Support and driving use tax compliance on purchases
! Document tax issues and resolutions
! Provide general administrative support of the sales and property and other tax functions such as payment processing, maintaining tax files and records, etc.
! Update and maintain POS tax system with revenue taxability and correct sales tax rates
! Maintain non income tax compliance calendar for US indirect tax filings
! Monitor and analyze proposed state and local tax legislation, regulations and cases that may impact the company
