JOB DESCRIPTION

Description 

The Director FICO provides leadership and strategic direction for the global Finance and Controlling (FICO) business components like and not limited to Transactional Finance & Accounting across the enterprise, consolidation, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and Compliance. They are responsible for identifying the impacts and requirements for the global business processes and applications and understanding the global implications. They have ownership of the business process team deliverables for their respective business areas and ultimately ensure that the solution will fulfil the needs of their representative process scope and LS&Co business.  They make internal staffing decisions and manage the day-to-day work of their team, ensuring that quality deliverables are completed in a timely manner.  They report to the Senior Director, Enterprise Business Process COE and work in close partnership with business process team leadership.

Strong background in Finance concepts and accounting principles on US GAAP and IFRS

Accounting degree like CPA or CA 

Finance planning & management qualification like CMA Key Responsibilities / Tasks

Build and staff the process team for respective functional area based on skill set for business process team success 

!
Approve business process scope, milestones and the completion of phases at quality checkpoints  

!
Manage the day-to-day activities of the process team for respective functional area and ensure that milestones are achieved 

!
Resolve business issues that impact the ability of the process team to deliver business process team goals and escalate issues as appropriate 

!
Accountable for the deliverables for respective functional areas (Requirements, BPD’s, assist in building Functional Specs, etc.) 

!
Assist in driving the execution of testing, identification of transactions and data to be tested, and managing test problem resolution 

!
Lead business process definition and ensures business processes are effectively mapped in the software configuration 

!
Conduct and/or participate in workshops and presentations to validate business processes and requirements 

!
Provide strategic leadership for respective process area and ultimately ensures that the application fulfills the needs of the global LS&Co business for area and the integration points with other areas 

!
Maintain ongoing communication with business partners as part of stakeholder engagement program 

!
Partner with business process team leadership to plan, set priorities, and resolve issues and conflicts 

!
Communicate progress and status on a regular basis 

!
Monitor issue management procedures and resolution  

!
Monitor delivery of agreed team scope within budget and timeline, and take corrective action when necessary 

!
Ensure the process team aligns with business process team tools, processes and policies 

!
Participate in planning and execution of organizational readiness activities like and not limited to owning approval of training curriculum, content etc 

!
Work closely with the technical team to facilitate the completion of development objects in support of the business processes  

!
Proactive management of business process team risks on an ongoing basis including the identification, analysis, and response to risks 

!
Participate in the development of risk mitigation and contingency strategies
