About the Job The purpose of the Merchandise Planning Manager position is to develop pre-season and in-season sales, inventory and margin plans for the Dockers brand at Kohl’s. You will be a trusted advisor to the regional wholesale teams (Merchandising, Sales, & Inventory Management) to guide the vision for the customer and the brand. You contribute to the success of the organization by forging diverse partnerships, creating forecasts based on historical and current trends, and leading plan reviews . Important Results: • Demand Plan Accuracy • Revenue, EBIT • Product Margin / Profitability • Fill Rates • Our performance Key Responsibilities: • Develop bottom’s up item plan forecast for Kohl’s Dockers. • Partner with Sales and Merchandising to guide important decisions and develop seasonal strategies. • Conduct quantitative analysis to increase sales & profitability; monetize new opportunities and identify risks. • Lead the account monthly Plan Review process by presenting, communicating and promoting the plan position in relation to annual financial targets. Gain agreement from customer, LS&Co leadership and diverse partners and build the plan positions. • Identify opportunities to increase sales & revenue • Partner with inventory management to reconcile supply and customer demand monthly. • Advocate the End-to-End Planning process and the brand’s go-to-market calendar. • Take on additional projects as needed. • Travel up to 25%. About You• Bachelor's degree (8+ years of combined college education and work experience may be substituted for a degree). • Minimum 7 years of experience in a planning function with management experience • Forecast/planning experience in the wholesale apparel industry preferred • Experienceleading a team and working in an ambiguous and constantly changing environment • Ability to drive business decisions and lead projects with multi-functional partners • Strong organizational skills, driven, and focused on meeting deadlines • Innovative problem solving and partnering skills • Experienced team member who has exceptional analytical, communication and influencing skills Perks We put a lot of thought into our programs to provide you with a benefits package that matters.
