We're looking for a Designer who will bring innovation and creativity to our Global Accessories team. About the Job:• Reports into the Senior Director • Develop seasonal design platforms and concepts • Identify consumer product opportunities through market and trend research • Create material, fabric, silhouette, and trim developments • Design products that accomplish goals for the seasonal calendar, assortment plan and source location requirements • Sustain partnerships with Merchandising and Product Development to ensure products are engineered to profit and quality/aesthetic goals • Accomplish direction given by Director and Senior Designer as part of the global guidelines • May coach or manage lower level designers • Travel seasonally to work with Product Development and Factory partner teams on initial product designs About You:• Bachelor’s degree in Design in a HUGE plus, however a combination of college education and related work experience may be used as a substitute • Minimum 3 years of experience as a designer, responsible and accountable for all facets of design and development. • Preferably at least 2 years of experience in an Accessories category such as Belts, Bags, or Hats. It is a plus to have experience in Scarves (woven's) and knits also. • Expertise in creating commercially viable and profitable product designs • Working knowledge of construction, textiles, hardware and processes • Flexibility with regards to job responsibilities • Expert knowledge and proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook • Interpersonal and organizational skills; especially when collaborating with senior level directors • An energetic, positive, helpful demeanor and a passion and interest in LS&Co.
